Blessing and Building Innovative Neighborhood Systems (Blessing B.I.N.S.)
With the current pandemic and economic downturn, Legacy Shelters continues to reorganize our programs to aid in homelessness prevention using various methods. Blessing B.I.N.S. are an extension of our community closet, which help residents meet their financial obligations (and retain their dignity and privacy) by relieving some of their basic monthly expenses.
Together with Williams Scotsman, bins such as the one featured on the left, are being built right now to answer this call. We are working with several city governments and organizations to install them fully filled by the end of the year. You can participate by collecting various items to fill the bins with such as canned and dry foods, diapers, feminine products, sanitizers, toilet paper, etc. Organizations and schools who would like to participate can do so by placing a box in your lobby/foyer area where items can be donated. (Collection boxes can be donated by Legacy Shelters or you may provide your own.)

Evangelism Outreach
Throughout this unprecedented COVID-19 outbreak, safety & well-being remain core principals of what we value at Legacy Shelters. We want to assure you that we are doing our best to support our community & honor our city, state & national leaders by reducing the frequency of contact our volunteers have with the public. For that reason all in-person events, including evangelism outreach, have been postponed until further notice.
